NEW YEARS EVE 2007The New Year was seen in with fireworks and the release of helium-filled balloons by the guests. Many of the helium balloons carried a personal message or wish.
It was full house (for the first time) at the Hostel for the New Year festivities. Guests started arriving three nights earlier. The days were spent sightseeing, walking, skiing and visiting the “Chlebowachata”. The evenings passed merrily at the ping-pong table; by the fireside; or just catching up with old friends. By the time New Year’s Eve came, everybody felt quite at home in the Hostel. It snowed on and off all day. One group had fun (and shared it!) with their fancy dress costumes – Harry Potter, Marylin Monroe, Braveheart… were there. In between the dances, borszcz and bogracz were served. At midnight, glasses of bubbly were raised as people wished each other “HAPPY NEW YEAR!” over the sound of fireworks. The party continued until morning. back back
